Hudson Valley Snow Totals For Jan. 4: National Weather Service

The National Weather Service issued corrected totals, and accumulation in the Hudson Valley ranged from 2.0 to 12.5 inches. Here are details

The National Weather Service monitored the bomb cyclone all day Thursday and kept track of snow totals in the lower Hudson Valley. Note these are unofficial totals as of 8 p.m. Thursday and measurements may have been taken hours apart.

The highest amount reported was in Harrison, and that was a foot and a half.

And just to give you an idea of how useful Long Island is as a barrier: Terryville, in Suffolk County, recorded 16 inches yesterday.
