Hudson Valley Weekend Weather: It's All About The Timing
Here's when to plan outdoor activities.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Winds will begin to howl Sunday afternoon, reminding us of March. But first, meteorologists predict a seasonable and tranquil Saturday — at least in the daytime.
The National Weather Service says high pressure will build into the region through Saturday, keeping the region dry until at least late in the day. (A stream of moisture from the Pacific, however, will keep clouds across the area despite the dry weather.) Temperatures close to normal can be expected.
Then, as rain overspreads the region Saturday night due to deep low pressure tracking across the Great Lakes, some inland areas could get freezing rain. The rain could last into Sunday afternoon.

"So the 1st half of the weekend looks decent, the 2nd half of the weekend looks stormy," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.
Temps will be warm on Sunday. Then the high winds will be bringing colder air for the work week.
