The Hudson Valley's Billionaire's Club Stands At 14 Members In 2017

Forbes' 2017 list of the world's billionaires features more than 100 from New York, several with deep local ties.

Forbes released its annual list of the richest people in the world on Monday, and it's not surprising that a lot of them live in New York. And some of those have strong ties in the Hudson Valley.

Leading the pack of locals is Mark Zuckerberg. No, he's not currently a Hudson Valley resident, but he grew up in Dobbs Ferry, so he counts. He's on the list as the fifth richest person in the world, with a net worth of $56 billion.

We're counting Michael Bloomberg too, because he owns an estate in North Salem. He's No. 10, with a net worth of $47.5 billion.
