Injured Hiker Rescued At Brinton Brook Sanctuary

Croton emergency responders got a loaner from the Verplanck Fire Department.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Emergency responders in Croton were called out to the Brinton Brook Bird Sanctuary Saturday afternoon. A hiker had suffered an ankle injury on the Duck Pond Trail. Rescuers carried him 300 feet to a clearing where he was loaded onto the Verplanck Fire Department's UTV and brought to an ambulance which took him to a local hospital.
