The Rose Institute for Learning and Literacy, the Manhattanville College School of Education and Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES ran its first professional development program to foster a deeper understanding of multisensory phonics tools and techniques for K-5 literacy instruction called, Making Sense of Words, on November 5. The program, held at Manhattanville College's Reid Castle, was attended by over 80 teachers in the Westchester community.
