Malicious Call Ends Croton Firefighters' Busiest Month of 2016

Since July, they've been called out more than 40 times a month.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — The village fire department ended its busiest month so far in 2016 — 51 calls — with a spurious call to Brook Street for a fire that didn't exist.

As they said in another Facebook post:

Since July, Croton's Bravest has been dispatched to over 40 incidents per month, equating to more than one a day on average. Luckily, your 100% VOLUNTEER Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department has an amazing group of men & women that will drop what they're doing in the name of helping their community.
We welcome new members of any age to join us and can only hope you will find it as rewarding as we have for nearly 125 years.
