Mind, Body, Spirit Ossining and Hudson River Valley Ramble

All classes were designed to be an introduction to the instructor's expertise and welcome to all.

From The Town of Ossining: Ossining, which jointly highlights some of Ossining’s top wellness businesses and beautiful open spaces, will be featured in the 19th Annual Hudson River Valley Ramble. The Hudson River Valley Ramble is organized annually by the Hudson River Valley Natural Heritage Area and the Hudson River Valley Greenway and features all of the great programming up and down the Hudson River during the month of September. Here in Ossining, the Hudson River Valley Ramble events will highlight Mind, Body, Spirit –Ossining. These FREE classes are open to the public on the weekends at a Town or Village park or open space so residents and visitors can learn how to be fit on their own using Ossining parks, or follow up with guidance at local fitness and wellness centers. “The Town of Ossining is proud of Mind, Body, Spirit – Ossining, an annual collaboration between the Town and our local wellness and fitness businesses,” said Supervisor Dana Levenberg. “We are so excited to share this local favorite with our neighbors and visitors throughout the Hudson Valley.”

Earlier this summer, Mind, Body, Spirit – Ossining events showcased the expertise of Delphi Dance Ensemble, Elisha Simpson of Crossover Yoga Project, Open Door Family Medical Center, UMAC Briarcliff, Ben Leavitt of Recovering Your Way Mindful Body Practice, and Robert Chuckrow, Ph.D. All classes were designed to be an introduction to the instructor’s expertise and welcome to all.

The Hudson River Valley Ramble events will showcase Sue Radparvar of Ossining’s Studio95 Zumba – a Mind, Body, Spirit – Ossining favorite. Throughout the summer, Sue has led Zumba classes each Saturday and will continue to do so on September 8, 15, 22, & 29. Join Sue each week at 3pm at the Louis Engel Park stage for an invigorating and fun afternoon of Zumba. A fusion of Latin and International music and dance themes creates a dynamic, exciting class based on the principle that a workout should be enjoyable and easy to do. The routines will feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Everyone is sure to be back week after week to participate in Sue’s fun class. Participants will have an opportunity to enter into a raffle to win an LL Bean Gift Card or an REI backpack, thanks to the Hudson River Valley Ramble.
