NWS Warns Of Dense Fog In Morning Commute

Expect locally drastic reductions in visibility early this morning.

The National Weather Service put out a special weather statement for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties warning about dense fog for the Tuesday morning commute.

Areas of fog, locally dense, are expected to continue into early this morning before 9am. Visibilities will generally range between 1 and 4 miles, but locally could be reduced to 1/4 mile or less. Motorists are urged to slow down, use low beam headlights, and leave plenty of space between vehicles. Expect locally drastic reductions in visibility early this morning.
