O-Bots adds new award to trophy case
Ossining O-Bots honored with Quality Award, adding to their standing as the most decorated FTC robotics team in Westchester & Rockland

Ossining High School’s robotics team earned the Quality Award at the FIRST Robotics Tech Valley Competition, held April 16–18 in Albany. The award recognizes excellence in engineering design and craftsmanship.
The honor adds to a growing list of accolades for the Ossining O-Bots, the most decorated FIRST Robotics Competition team in Westchester and Rockland counties. The team will be competing next at the FIRST Robotics International Championship, held April 29 through May 2 in Houston, marking their fourth consecutive appearance at the international competition—an achievement unmatched by any team in the Hudson Valley.
“The Quality Award recognizes the O-Bots’ outstanding workmanship—from wiring to welds. Their robot delivers both top-tier performance and polished aesthetics,” said team advisor Doug Albrecht. “We are incredibly proud of the O-Bots’ dedication and innovation.”
