Obituary: Bruce Allen DiMarzo of Ossining

On his YouTube channel BruceAllenNYC, he produced more than 1,200 videos of tri-state college a cappella groups and performances.

Bruce Allen DiMarzo, 62, of Ossining, NY passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Westchester Medical Center after a brief illness. Bruce was born on August 11, 1957 in Mount Vernon and spent his early childhood in Eastchester. For the past 55 years he has been a resident of Ossining.

After graduating from Stepinac High School in 1975, he attended Fordham University, where he studied communications and was active in the college radio station WFUV. He graduated Fordham in 1979.

Bruce worked in security and real estate in the 1980s before embarking on a nearly 20-year career as a salesperson and manager at Radio Shack. For the past fourteen years, Bruce has worked as a security guard and supervisor for Summit Security.

His true passion was music. He was an active alumni of Fordham University, videotaping performances for the college’s a cappella groups, The Fordham Satin Dolls, Ramblers, B-Sides and Hot Notes. This led to the creation of his YouTube channel BruceAllenNYC, for which he produced more 1,200 videos of Tri-State college a cappella groups and performances.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Carol DiMarzo of Ossining, and five siblings, Michael DiMarzo (Miriam) of Cortlandt Manor, Randy DiMarzo (Trisha) of Fishkill, Dean DiMarzo (Jackie) of Wappingers Falls, Cheryl Callaghan (Michael) of Hopewell Junction, Janice Barth (John) of Bloomingburg; 14 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his mother, Lydia DiMarzo.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday Morning, Dec. 4 at St. Theresa’s Church in Briarcliff Manor. The interment will follow.
