Obituary: Margaret Mead, Millwood, NY

Margaret A.” Peggy” Mead of Millwood, NY died on September 27, 2013 at Memorial Sloan- Kettering Hospital in New York City. Mrs. Mead worked as a Job Specialist for ARC of Westchester for the past twenty five years.  She was born in Yonkers, NY the daughter of William and Mary Agnes McGrath Wall. Peggy was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. On May 15, 1954 she married G. Homer Mead at Sacred Heart Church. He died November 6, 1982. She had been a resident of Millwood for over fifty five years. She was the loving mother of five children Diane (Steve) Hazelton, Brian (Cathleen) Mead, Timothy (Patricia) Mead, Reverend Gary Mead and Karen (Christopher) Jordan. Nine grandchildren Kerry, Kevin, Courtney, Taylor, Matthew, Chads, Lexie , Brier and Liam.  One sister Patricia Terry and brother in law Jack Terry.  Four nieces and nephews Gail, Kenneth, Particia “Tishi” and Deidre.  The Funeral Mass was held at St. Theresa Church, Briarcliff Manor on Wednesday, October 2nd at 10:30am. Interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  John G. Crawford Funeral Director.
