Obituary: Marian F. Chadeayne, Lifelong Member Of Trinity Church

Mrs. Chadeayne was known and loved for her friendliness and her costumes as a crossing guard at Park School.

Marian F. Chadeayne peacefully entered eternal rest on November 18, 2020 at 83 years of age, while in Hospice care at her home in Carmel N.Y. Marian was born in Ossining N.Y. on June 3, 1937 and was a longtime resident. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Ossining.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Chadeayne and devoted mother of Donald W.L. Chadeayne and wife Diane, William N. Chadeayne and wife Brenda and daughter Donna Marie and husband Neville Harvey. Marian was the beloved Grandmother of Thomas, Amanda, Deborah and Hunter. Marian was a loving Great Grandmother to her Great Grandson Hudson. She is predeceased by her Father Varian Slater and her 2 sisters, Audrey and Jean and her brother Varian. Marian was a loving Aunt to 3 nieces and 4 nephews but was known as Aunt to many close family friends.

Marian was a church secretary for many years at Trinity Episcopal Church in Ossining before taking her crossing guard post for the Ossining Village Police Department at Park School on Edward St. and Everett Ave. She loved greeting the children on their way to school, as well as the parents and staff. She was known for her costume for all holidays. She had a versatile love of music from Broadway Show tunes, Hymns and Irish Music.

John Crawford Memorial Services will be handling her cremation at this time and after cremation, interment will be held at Bethel Cemetery in Croton-on-Hudson in the spring of 2021. In memory of Marian, family is asking that donations be made to Hospice of Westchester Putnam.
