Ossining Among Best Public High Schools 2017

OSSINING, NY — Good public high schools abound in the Hudson Valley, as Niche.com's 2017 list of the best public high schools in New York shows. The rankings are based on criteria such as academics and outcomes, and these are all schools whose graduates routinely go on to the best colleges. Ossining High School is on the list.

OHS was ranked No. 100 and received an overall grade of A+ from Niche.com.

Two Hudson Valley high schools made the top 10 while 37 made the top 100.

Stuyvesant High School was selected best public high school in New York, but the Hudson Valley's top school, Rye High School, was close behind at No. 8, with Byram Hills on its heels, according to the rankings.

Niche, a website for researching schools, used a variety of factors, including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, the quality of colleges students consider and reviews from students and parents for its ranking.
