Ossining Farm Seeks Support Through Crowdfunding Campaign
Consider 'adopting' a chicken or a CSA membership as a holiday gift!

OSSINING, NY — A local Ossining farm is hosting a crowdfunding campaign, and there is still time to get involved in supporting that rare entity in Westchester County: local agriculture.
Located in Ossining, Fable is a farm dedicated to sustainable agriculture.
"We believe that through dedication, hard work, and modern technological advancements in agriculture, we can provide the freshest produce all year round without the use of harmful pesticides," says Tom Deacon on the Barnraiser crowdsourcing page. "Help make healthy sustainable farming the norm by pioneering the next generation of responsibly grown food and humanely raised chickens."

They want to expand their vegetable field, plant a winter cover crop to restore nutrients to the ground, build a larger chicken coop (for more farm fresh eggs!), construct bee hives, and power the hydroponic greenhouse through the winter to grow fresh herbs and leafy greens for indoor farmers' markets and get ready for next year's growing season.
They've raised 30 percent of their $15,000 goal with just two days to go in the campaign.
