Ossining Holds Hearing Wednesday On Larger Water Treatment Plant

OSSINING, NY — The Ossining Planning Board has a public hearing scheduled Wednesday on the previously approved site plan application to construct a new larger Indian Brook Water Treatment Plant.

The Indian Brook water treatment plant is at 25 Reservoir Road within the unincorporated area of the Town of Ossining. A new plant design was approved in 2018, but concerns about taste and odor problem events led to amendments. The footprint is larger and a wetlands mitigation strategy is under discussion between the village and town.

Application materials dated Dec. 20, 2022 and Site Plans dated July 2021 are on file at the Town of Ossining Building & Planning Department, 101 Route 9A, Ossining, NY and available online.

The hearing will start at 7:30 p.m. at the John Paul Rodrigues Ossining Operations Center, 101 Route 9A, Ossining, NY 10562 and by Zoom Video Conference.
