Ossining Man Accused of Sex Assaults on Minors in Vermont
Photographer Mark Sadan was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Florida Dec. 19.

Mark Sadan of Ossining faces two charges of aggragated sexual assault on a minor. He was arrested Dec. 19 when the U.S. Marshal Service Vermont Violent Offender Task Force found him in Bradenton, FL
According to the U.S. Marshal Service, Sadan had been on the run since the issuance of an arrest warrant dated Dec. 8. They believed Sadan fled as a direct result.
The Washington Superior Court (Vermont), Criminal Division had issued the arrest warrant for Sadan after an investigation conducted by the Montpelier Police Department accused him of sexually assaulting two minors over the course of several years.
On Dec. 15, the Montpelier Police Department contacted the U.S. Marshals Service, seeking help in locating Sadan, as his whereabouts were unknown.
In conjunction with the Montpelier Police Department, information was obtained on Sadan’s possible location in Bradenton, FL. This information was quickly conveyed to the U.S. Marshals Service’s Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF) in the Middle District of Florida (Tampa) and as a result, Sadan was apprehended without incident, the U.S. Marshal Service said.
Sadan’s arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative efforts by the U.S. Marshals VVOTF, the U.S. Marshals FCRFTF, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, the Vermont State Police and the Montpelier Police Department.
The 75-year-old now faces extradition from Florida to Vermont, according to mychamplainvalley.com
