Ossining Organizations To Hold 5K Fundraisers

OSSINING, NY — Fitness and fundraising are at the forefront in Ossining with a couple of 5K runs scheduled in the coming days. The first is the Ossining Matters 15th-annual 5K Run/2 Mile Walk fundraiser. It’s being held Saturday, Sept. 9.

The run/walk will benefit the Ossining Matters Education Foundation, and registration is open until 11 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

Runners will begin at the Main Street post office, and walkers will start at the Double Arches.

The race will be timed.

Next up will be the first Ossining PBA 5K, to be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 14.

All proceeds will benefit the Hope for Heroes foundation.
