Ossining Police Kill Aggressive Coyote

It had confronted a fifth village resident Thursday morning.

OSSINING, NY — Police killed the aggressive coyote who had been confronting residents on the bluff overlooking the Hudson River south of St. Augustine's.

The deceased animal will be transported to the Westchester County Department of Health for testing.

Police had issued a warning about the wild animal on Monday, after receiving reports from a Mystic Pointe resident and a North Water Street resident of confrontations with a coyote. The coyote did not bite either the dog or the person on North Water Street.
