Ossining Schools Embrace Computer Science Week
The district will turn Computer Science Week into a month-long celebration of innovation and learning.
Ossining School District is gearing up to celebrate Computer Science Week by initiating a month-long dedication to fostering innovation, creativity, and digital literacy among students. While the nation celebrates the Hour of Code during the week of December 4th to December 8th, Ossining takes it a step further, dedicating the entire month to coding and computer science education.
Throughout the month, the district will provide more than 25 unique opportunities for older students to share their coding expertise with younger students, providing hands-on coding lessons and inspiring the next generation of digital innovators.
To extend the celebration beyond the classroom, the district is granting month-long access to their coding website. This initiative allows students and families to explore coding at their own pace and convenience.
