Ossining Senior Anthony Lofaro Nominated for Heart of a Giant Award

Ossining High School proudly announces that Anthony Lofaro, a senior and standout athlete on both the Varsity Wrestling and Varsity Football teams, has been selected as a nominee for the highly coveted 2023 Heart of a Giant Award. This prestigious recognition celebrates high school student-athletes in the Tri-State area who exemplify unparalleled work ethic and an unwavering passion for their sport, both on and off the field.
Anthony Lofaro received this nomination from Ossining's head Football Coach, Larry McRae, for his “exceptional dedication and commitment to the game.” The Heart of a Giant Award identifies team members who embody five essential characteristics: Commitment, Character, Teamwork, Dedication, and Will.
"Anthony has always exemplified the heart and soul of a dedicated athlete. His passion for the game and his unwavering commitment to his teammates are qualities that inspire us all. I'm proud to nominate him for the 2023 Heart of a Giant Award," said Coach McRae.

As an official nominee, Anthony is now in the running to become one of the six finalists who will each receive a $1,000 equipment grant for the Ossining High School football program. The grand prize winner will be awarded an additional $9,000 equipment grant, a significant contribution to the development and success of the team.
However, to advance to the final round and secure these grants, nominees must garner the highest number of votes. Ossining High School is calling upon teammates, classmates, friends, family, and the entire Ossining community to rally together and cast their votes in support of Anthony Lofaro's well-deserved nomination.

Votes can be cast daily on multiple devices by visiting usafootball.com/hoagvote. The voting period is open until September 24th, offering ample time for supporters to make a difference in Anthony's journey to becoming a Heart of a Giant Award finalist.
