Ossining Students Sweep Major Awards in 2024 Scholastic Art & Writing

Ossining High School is proud to announce that 21 talented students have been recognized in this year's highly competitive Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. This prestigious recognition program seeks to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary abilities and provide them with opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships.

Among the Ossining High School awardees, five students have earned the distinguished Gold Key accolade, which automatically qualifies their entries for consideration in the national awards, including Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and scholarship awards.

“Seeing our students excel in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is very inspiring, and I couldn't be prouder of their achievements and the recognition they've earned," said art teacher Ron Whitehead.

Art teacher Yoojin Lin added echoed these sentiments, emphasizing how the students’ artwork showcases their unique perspectives, passions, and dedication to their craft.

“Each piece awarded in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards reflects their creativity and ability to express themselves artistically. I am incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the meaningful impact their artwork has made."
