Overheated Chemicals Caused Monday's Commuter Nightmare
Three firefighters were injured during the evening incident in Ossining.

Last night’s rush-hour mess on the Hudson Line was caused when a tank of chemicals at Metallized Carbon Corp. on Water Street in Ossining overheated and leaked.
During the dangerous hazmat situation, three firefighters were injured, treated and released, according to Fios1 News.
Northbound trains stopped running at Tarrytown; southbound trains at Croton Harmon. Passengers were bused between them for stations such as Philipse Manor, Scarborough and Ossining. The Ossining-Haverstraw Ferry service was suspended and those commuters were taken by bus across the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Ossining fire officials told Fios1 that the state Department of Environmental Conservation is investigating.
