Peekskill Man Charged with Felony DWI in Croton

He was stopped for speeding on Route 9.

New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Manuel H. Niguela-Pesantez, 35, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Felony, on Oct. 17.

Troopers stopped the vehicle the Peekskill resident was operating for speeding on State Route 9. They concluded that he was intoxicated following an investigation conducted at the time of the stop.

Niguela-Pesantez supplied a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .22 percent, police said. That is more than two times the legal limit of intoxication. He was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed a previous DWI related conviction within the preceding 10 years.

He was issued traffic tickets ordering him to appear before the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Court on October 28, 2015.
