Pierre Van Cortlandt Among Best Middle Schools In New York For 2017

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Pierre Van Cortlandt School is among the best in New York State, according to Niche.com, which crunched the numbers as part of its new public school rankings for 2017.

Niche.com says it calculated its rankings based on reviews from students and parents along with test scores, student-teacher ratio, teacher quality, diversity and the overall quality of a school district.

Niche.com compiled the top 100 public middle schools in New York and three in 10 of them were in the Hudson Valley. You can check that list out here:

According to Niche.com, Robert E. Bell Middle School in Chappaqua is ranked the 53rd best middle school in the country; with H.C. Crittenden Middle School in the Byram Hills district right behind it at No. 54; Seven Bridges Middle School in Chappaqua 57th; Briarcliff Middle School No. 81; and Scarsdale Middle School No. 97.
