Police Foil Home Break-In, Nab Suspect, Thanks To Alert Homeowner

The stymied burglary happened during the early morning hours, according to Croton-on-Hudson police.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — A burglar picked the wrong Westchester home to ply his trade, according to police.

The Croton-on-Hudson Police Department says that 30-year-old Pablo Castillo, who is a Croton-on-Hudson resident, was arrested.

Early Wednesday morning, police received a report from a homeowner about a man trying to breaking into their home on Olcott Avenue.

Officers responded to the address and found Castillo. He was arrested and charged with felony second-degree attempted burglary.

Castillo was arraigned in the Village Justice Court with bail set at $500.
