
Temperatures will continue below normal for this time of year, at least until the end of the work week. Don't forget that it's still, officially, autumn!

The good news is that the Hudson Valley should stay dry for another few days.

Our last long dry spell was a-six day break in August (which otherwise was a month of higher-than average rainfall).
"The last time the New York City area had a similar dry stretch was from September to October 2017, when they had 15 consecutive rain-free days," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson.

There is rain in the forecast for Friday, which would bring its own problems when it hits frozen ground. But that's to worry about later.

- Tuesday-Sunny, with a high near 36. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.
- Tuesday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. Light and variable wind becoming west around 5 mph in the evening.
- Wednesday-Sunny, with a high near 36. North wind 5 to 9 mph.
- Wednesday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 18.
- Thursday-Partly sunny, with a high near 33.
- Thursday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.
- Friday-Partly sunny, with a high near 46.
- Friday Night-A 50 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.
