Residents Invited to the Jan. 1 Swearing-in Ceremony at Ossining Community Center

Ossining residents are invited to celebrate New Year’s Day at the Inauguration Ceremony beginning at 12 noon at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center.

The program will include the installation of NYS Senator David Carlucci, NYS Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, Ossining Village Mayor Victoria Gearity, and Ossining Village Trustees John Codman and Omar Herrera.

Along with remarks from elected officials will be musical selections from Mike & Miriam Risko and the Star of Bethlehem Choir, as well as a poetry reading from Ossining High School student Miguel Garcia.

“I am especially excited for this year’s inauguration of the first woman elected mayor of Ossining. A lot of people from the Democratic Committee and the whole community worked very hard to support Victoria,” said Ossining Democratic Committee Chairwoman Thomasina Laidley-Brown in a press release. ”We are so proud of her campaign. And we know she will do a great job for Ossining.”
