Head-on Crash on Route 100A Kills Tarrytown Couple

The other driver has been charged.

HARTSDALE, NY — A two-car crash resulted in two deaths in Greenburgh on Friday afternoon.

Two residents of Tarrytown, Carmelo Sbezzi and his wife Henrietta, died after a head-on collision on Route 100A that occurred around 2:15 p.m.

The driver of the other car, Michelle Bonet, 43, of White Plains, also sustained injuries.

All three were taken to Westchester Medical Center. Bonet was also placed under arrest and charged with Vehicular Manslaughter in the First Degree a Class C Felony and was awaiting arraignment on the charge, Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner reported.

West Hartsdale Avenue (Route 100A) was closed between Woods End Lane and Secor Road in the Hartsdale Section of Greenburgh during police investigation of the accident.

Greenburgh Detectives are continuing the investigation in conjunction with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Greenburgh Police at 914-989-1710.
