Services are March 26 for Ida Daggett

Mrs. Daggett was 92.

Ida Daggett a former resident of Ossining and Briarcliff Manor, died Tuesday March 24, 2015.

Ida was born in Ossining on January 3, 1923 and was the daughter of Giuseppe and Mary DeRocco (nee Vallarelli) of Ossining. She was 92.

She graduated from Ossining High School and moved to Briarcliff in 1956.

Ida worked at Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator and later at Briarcliff College for over 25 years, until her retirement as the receptionist.

Mrs. Daggett was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her two children and their families. Her daughter Beverly, son-in-law Dennis and two grandsons Matthew and Christian, reside in Portland, OR. Her son Thomas, daughter-in-law Darlene and four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jamieson, Anneliese, and Amelia, reside in Devon, PA.

Mrs. Daggett is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.

She was predeceased by her sisters Anna D’Adamo, Helen Slater and Josephine DiCioccio.

Funeral Mass Thursday at 11am at St. Theresa’s Church. Interment to follow at St Augustine’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Daggett Family Foundation, 500 South Waterloo Road, Devon, PA 19333. Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc 14 Emwilton Place Ossining, NY, is handling the arrangements.
