Snow For Christmas Eve In The Hudson Valley

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A White Christmas may not be in store, exactly, but we may get the next best thing. Snow is predicted to fall overnight and maybe a little bit after dawn Monday.

"Temperatures will be right around 30°, so snow may struggle to stick to paved surfaces initially… but a fresh coating of snow likely awaits us when we wake up Christmas Eve morning," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Great for getting everyone fully into the holiday spirit!"

But don't get your hopes up that the snow will stick around.

"Places across Pennsylvania, the Hudson Valley and southern New England are expected to have high temperatures in the upper 30s or lower 40s for a time on Monday," said AccuWeather meteorologist Courtney Spamer. "Temperatures this high could melt the little bit of snow accumulated on the ground, or bring the amount of snow below an inch."
