HUDSON VALLEY, NY — It's going to be hot, muggy and unsettled for the next couple of days, with some thunderstorms possible, and a few of them severe — enough that the National Weather Service has issued hazardous outlooks for the Hudson Valley.

However, the storms will be scattered, so some parts of the region may see no rain at all.

"At this point it appears if severe weather does occur it may not be a widespread event with a more localized element as some discrete cells may turn severe," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

"As the thermometer increases, humidity levels are expected to trend upward as well, making the conditions feel even hotter than in recent days and supplying fuel for showers and thunderstorms," said Andrew Johnson-Levine, AccuWeather meteorologist.
