CROTON FALLS, NY -- Following the sold-out inaugural Comedy Night in June, The Schoolhouse Theater has scheduled three new comics for Comedy Night II, on Saturday, July 26, at 8 pm.

"The great success of our first Comedy Night tells us there is a lot of pent- up demand for comedy-club type entertainment in our area," says Schoolhouse Executive Director James Shearwood. "Everyone who loves to laugh is invit ed to join us for a second round of side-splitting entertainment."

Partnering with Adam Oliensis of LoHud Comedy, Manhattan stand-up comedians Charles McBee, Joanne Filan and Doug Adler will be featured in the second Comedy Night. Oliensis, whose own act was very well-received last month, will serve as the evening's host.

Young comic McBee has his own web series called "It's a Chucked Up Life" as well as being a regular at major NYC clubs. Called "a hilariously inventive comedian as well as a terrific actor" by Rick Crom, Director of New Talent for The Comedy Cellar, McBee arrived in New York on an acting scholarship to attend the NY Conservatory for Dramatic Arts from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
Having developed a following on the college circuit, Joanne Filan performs at Gotham Comedy, The Laugh Factory and Caroline's in NYC. She reports that she "was born in New Jersey but is doing her best not to die there." She "did what all stand-up comedians do an d went to college for Marine Biology."

A transplanted New York City native from Rockland County, Doug Adler transforms everyday life with an autobiographical cast of characters into one-of-a-kind humor. Having come on the scene in the New York Underground Comedy Festival, Adler is now a regular at Gotham Comedy, Broadway Comedy, Ha! Comedy Club, and Laugh Lounge.

The Schoolhouse Theater is in talks with various comedy producers, said Shearwood. "We hope to make Comedy Night a monthly feature as well as inaugurate an Open Mic for local talent and offer a stand-up comedy class for those looking to try more," he adds.

Tickets for Comedy Night at the Schoolhouse are $20 and may be purchased on the web at www.schoolhousetheater.org or by calling the box office at 914-277-8477. Given last month's success, advance purchase is recommended. The Schoolhouse is located at 3 Owens Road, Croton Falls, NY, just off exit 8 on I-684.
