Storms Flooding Hudson Valley During PM Commute
Goshen, Lake Carmel, Brewster, Peekskill are all in the path of the storm line. A flood advisory has been issued.
The Hudson Valley dodged the worst of a severe storm system Tuesday that led to a rare tornado warning for parts of New York City and caused damage to a New Jersey school. However, the region will see storms tonight.
The National Weather Service says at 503 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms along a line extending from Wappingers Falls to near Howells to near Dingmans Ferry, moving southeast at 35 mph.

- Goshen and Montgomery around 520 PM EDT.
- Chester around 525 PM EDT.
- Lake Carmel around 530 PM EDT.
- Monroe and Carmel around 535 PM EDT.
- Brewster and Harriman around 540 PM EDT.
- West Point and Cold Spring around 545 PM EDT.
- West Milford around 550 PM EDT.
- Peekskill around 555 PM EDT.
- Haverstraw and Pompton Lakes around 600 PM EDT.
So the NWS has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory until 8:15 p.m.

- Southeastern Orange County
- Rockland County
More thunderstorms are likely in the region from about 4 p.m. until midnight. Damaging winds and hail are the main threats, but an isolated tornado is also possible.
