Thunderstorms Could Dominate Week's Weather: Hudson Valley Forecast
Rain and cooler temperatures are also in store. Here's the latest.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Cool air, some rain and possibly severe thunderstorms are in store this week in the Hudson Valley.
Areas in eastern New York, eastern Pennsylvania, much of New Jersey, and southwestern and central New England will be at risk of the strongest storms, said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist. The first storm system will exit the Northeast Thursday and the second storm system will likely stall out over the Northeast from Friday to Saturday.
People in the Hudson Valley and Long Island, the Interstate 95 corridor from near Philadelphia to New York City, as well as the Berkshires and Connecticut Valley of New England and the western suburbs of Boston, should be aware of changing weather conditions if outdoors or on the road, he said.
