Westchester’s Winter Wonderland – Thurs. & Sun. 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Fri. & Sat. 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

A hands-on farming experience for children ages 8 and older. Registration and fees required.

Help Our Bluebirds – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Help clean out and repair the boxes to get them ready for spring nesting. Gloves will be provided.

Read Wildlife Sanctuary, Playland Park, Rye – (914) 967-8720

Winter Wildflower Arrangements – 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Make a festive centerpiece for the holidays. Bring your own vase and make a beautiful winter bouquet using dried plants and natural objects from the sanctuary. Fee $5.

Volunteer Work Project – 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Bring work gloves and help with a maintenance project. Great for any type of service hours. Hand tools provided.

Tour the inside of the historic mansion and learn about the Hopkins family who lived there. Also 12/17.

Learn how local animals survive through the winter months, followed by a craft. Registration required by 12/4. Fee $3 per child.
