Two Ossining Mayoral Candidates Seek the Democratic Party Line in Tuesday's Primary
Don't forget to vote: Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.

Two Democratic candidates for Ossining village mayor are vying for their party’s ballot line in Tuesday’s primary.
Trustee Virginia Gearity was chosen by the Ossining Town Democratic Committee this spring as their candidate. Incumbent William Hanauer then mounted a challenge, collecting enough petition signatures to get on the primary ballot and enough endorsements to insure fierce infighting during the campaign.
Endorsements of each candidate have filled Patch’s Opinion section plus Facebook sites such as About Ossining and Positively Ossining.

The primary doesn’t mean the end of either candidate, because Hanauer has the Working Families Party line in November and Gearity has the Independence Party line.
There is no one running from the village’s Republican or Conservative parties.
