In upset, Cooper Cavanaugh Graduates OHS

The artist, musician, film maker will pursue degrees in Environmental Science and Law.

On brainpower alone, Cooper John Cavanaugh will graduate from Ossining High School this Saturday. “It’s enough to drive you crazy, “ said one teacher, “he never did one homework assignment in my class, and then he got a 96 on the Regents — the best grade in the class.”

“I’m just happy teachers won’t be calling while I’m trying to nap in the afternoons,” said his father Chris. “In college he’s on his own. I’ll take what is not my problem for $2000, Alex.” His Mom, Gail, said, “it’s a miracle from God. I told him that watching Trailer Park Boys, playing Call of Duty and listening to The Grateful Dead will not get him through high school. Apparently I was wrong.”

The Cavanaughs and friends will gather Friday evening to celebrate Cooper’s Graduation. His parents have been working all week to prepare. “We love him so much,” they said, “we could not be prouder of his accomplishment.”
