The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is looking to hire a part-time School Crossing Guard. The responsibility of the School Crossing Guard is to assist schoolchildren in crossing traffic intersections at an assigned post during the hours when children are entering and leaving school. This position would report to the Police Department. The salary for this position is $18 an hour.

Required skills for the positions are as follows: Some knowledge of first aid methods; ability to be firm yet courteous with the public; ability to get along well with children; ability to think and act quickly in emergencies; good powers of observation; dependability; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
