This year, the Village of Ossining is celebrating summer with a series of free weekly outdoor concerts for all ages. The Friday Night Sumer Concert Series, sponsored by the Village and Town of Ossining, kicks-off with a special pre-Friday holiday performance and fireworks display on Thursday, July 3rd at 7:30pm. All concerts take place at Louis Engel Waterfront Park.
Following the Independence Day Celebration, a new musical group will take the stage each Friday for a 7:00pm show. The seven-week concert series, featuring a variety of local performers, runs through August 22 and covers a wide range of genres from classic rock, pop, and jazz to urban folk, funk, and R&B. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets or foldable chairs for seating. Picnics are welcome and food will also be available for purchase.
Friday, July 3: Jigsaww and Silver or Lead – A funky pop/rock/R&B group with dynamic vocals and rich musical grooves, Jigsaww kicks-off the Village of Ossining’s annual Independence Day Celebration with a 7:30pm show before the fireworks at 9:16pm. Afterwards, Ossining’s own Silver or Lead will keep the celebration going with an eclectic mix of rock, funk, and soul.

Friday, July 11: Pete Seeger Tribute – The Dirty Stay Out Skifflers have been playing their good time music since 2000, sharing the stage with Pete Seeger, Tom Chapin, Jay Unger and Molly Mason, among others. Band members include Dan Berger on harmonica; Donna Nestler on banjolele, vocals, washboard and kazoo; and Rick Nestler on 12-string guitar and vocals.
Friday, July 18: Breakfast for the Boys – Fronted by lead singer Aubrey Haddard, Breakfast for the Boys gives life to a whole new kind of soul. Additional members of this blues/funk/jazz/soul band include Roger LaRochelle, Sam Smith, Lukas Brenard and Damien Jackson.

Friday, July 25: Teri Lamar and New Company – Voted "Westchester’s Friendliest Band" by More Sugar Magazine, Teri Lamar and New Company’s musical versatility ranges from smooth jazz and rock n roll to Motown and R&B. Band members include Teri Lamar, lead and background vocals; Jamie Bannon, guitar, lead and background vocals; and Frank Brenna, keyboard, bass, lead and background vocals.
Friday, August 8: Mike Risko Band – Playing an eclectic mix of pop and rock covers, the Mike Risko Band is known for its ability to cover any tune. Fronted by Mike and Miriam Risko, the band also features Ben Zebelman on keyboard, Dr. Larry Baskind on bass, and Franklin Jackson Jr. on drums.
Friday, August 15: Powderfinger – Considered by many classic rock fans to be among the top bands in the tri-state area, Powderfinger includes Bob Goetz (bass & vocals), Norman Dodge (guitar & vocals), and Ronnie Negro (drums & vocals). From The Allman Brothers to ZZ Top and everything in between, Powderfinger play the songs the way you know and love them.
August 22: KJ Denhert – Consistently praised for her pathos, originality and impeccable musicianship, Ossining’s own KJ Denhert moves audiences to laugh, dance and even to cry. Her special blend of urban folk & jazz has earned her four Independent Music Award nominations and, in 2009, a spot as one of Jazz.com’s top female vocalists.
