Frederick R. Roberts, II, a lifelong resident of Ossining passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Fred was born in Ossining on May 14, 1946 and was the son of the late Frederick and Elberta (Bonin) Roberts. He was 70.
Freddie was a graduate of Ossining High School class of 1964 and of the RCA Institute in NYC. He was a retired Electrical Engineer with Union Carbide. Fred was a member of the Board of Directors of the Ossining Historical Society and a board member of the Ossining Historical Review Commission. Along with all of Fred’s hobbies, he was known as a car enthusiast.
Freddie is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Vargo); his two daughters Kimberly (Nick) Schiavo and Sarah (Wil) Stephens; the apple of his eye, his four grandchildren Gianna and Nicholas Schiavo and A’Mya and Bre’Ona Stephens; his dog Derf; his sister Sandra Palladino; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Dorsey. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Augustine’s Church. Interment Dale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred’s memory to a charity which the family will be designating at a later date.
