
Dr. Salvatore V. Didato, a 20-year Ossining resident died September 28, 2017 at home of cancer after a short illness. He was born August 28,1926 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Anthony Didato and Margaret Bertole.
Dr. Didato received his Ph.D. from Loyola University, Chicago. He worked as a clinical psychologist and was an accomplished radio host and author of countless articles, and best-selling self-help books. He helped many people during his lengthy career and was beloved by all. He received a Media award commendation from the American Psychological Association for “outstanding reporting on the field of psychology.”
Dr. Didato is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paulette Hamway Didato of Stamford, CT, his son David C. Didato and his wife Grace of Norwalk, CT, and many nieces, a nephew, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Place, Ossining, NY (914) 941-0167. Funeral Mass, Monday October 2, 2017 11:30 am at St Augustine’s Church in Ossining, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Catholic Relief Services.
