Rain Stops, Weekend (And Summer) Starts In The Hudson Valley

Here are the details about the weekend.

We can enjoy the first days of summer. That's a relief, because it rained so long that even the folks at Hudson Valley Weather began losing it.

But we are really almost at the end. The rain should let up by 1 p.m. The humidity should drop, temporarily. We'll still see some gusty winds this afternoon (the better to blow the clouds away) and Saturday (the better to dry everything out).

Just look at this chart from the National Weather Service and note the blessedly blank fourth row.

Temperatures will reach close to 80 degrees on Saturday and just above that on Sunday. Lows will be around 60 degrees, so it'll still be good sleeping weather. The humidity will be on a roller coaster, but still lower over the weekend before climbing during the work week.

Enjoy the first days of summer!
