Wrong-Way Ossining Driver Dies in Connecticut

NEW HAVEN, CT — Two people were killed in a crash early Monday, including a driver from Ossining whom police say was going the wrong way on Route 15.

A vehicle was traveling in the left lane on Route 15 southbound near Exit 59 when another vehicle traveling the wrong way collided with it in a head-on crash, Connecticut State Police said.

Erica Farland, 27, of Ossining, New York was the driver of the vehicle that was traveling in the wrong direction, police said. Both she and the other vehicle operator Andrea Rossi, 53, of Long Island City, New York were transported to the hospital, but later succumbed to their injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
