3 Men Rescued From Capsized Canoe In Long Island Sound

BREAKING: The water rescue occurred on Friday night.

Marine Bureau officers rescued three men clinging to a capsized canoe in Long Island Sound waters on Friday night.

According to authorities, officers arrived to Centre Island Beach in Bayville to find three men, ages 40, 43 and 33, clinging to an overturned 14-foot canoe at 10:20 p.m.

Responding officers rescued the men from the water and brought them to shore, along with the canoe.

The men did not require medical attention.
