With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Marine Bureau officers rescued three men clinging to a capsized canoe in Long Island Sound waters on Friday night. According to authorities, officers arrived to Centre Island Beach in Bayville to find three men, ages 40, 43 and 33, clinging to an overturned 14-foot canoe at 10:20 p.m. Responding officers rescued the men from the water and brought them to shore, along with the canoe. According to authorities, officers arrived to Centre Island Beach in Bayville to find three men, ages 40, 43 and 33, clinging to an overturned 14-foot canoe at 10:20 p.m. Responding officers rescued the men from the water and brought them to shore, along with the canoe.
