• VIDEO: Deer Goes For A Dip, Paddles Through North Shore Waters (patch.com) — If you were near Cove Road or Florence Park this week, you might have spotted an unusual swimmer: a deer paddling across Oyster Bay toward Centre Island before turning back. Friends of the Bay caught the scene on video, and town officials say such sightings are not uncommon, urging residents to stay calm unless an animal appears distressed.    

• Thomas Vidro's walk-off walk lifts Oyster Bay baseball to Nassau title (newsday.com) — Oyster Bay’s varsity baseball team just clinched the Nassau Class B championship in a dramatic 13-inning win over Cold Spring Harbor at Hofstra. A bases-loaded walk by Thomas Vidro sealed the 8–7 victory, with Chase Lordi’s clutch relief pitching and multiple multihit performances powering the town’s 19–5 squad into the Long Island title game on June 6.
