• Town of Oyster Bay partners with Vinny's Army to name September Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in town (liherald.com) — Town of Oyster Bay officials have proclaimed September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and will light Town Hall in gold with gold ribbons to honor young patients and families. Partnering with nonprofit Vinny's Army, the town is encouraging residents to support local children battling cancer, including through an upcoming blood drive at the Brian Moore Athletic Center and other ways listed on the group's website.
