• Four Oyster Bay High School musicians selected for All-State ensembles (liherald.com) — Four Oyster Bay High School musicians just earned coveted NYSSMA All-State spots, the school's largest group in 20 years and equal to its total selections from 2015–2025. The students will head to Rochester in December to rehearse and perform with top peers from across New York, highlighting the strength of Oyster Bay's music program.
   

• Mark Newman Announces New Fall And Winter Tour Dates (antimusic.com) — Mark Newman is bringing his band to Oyster Fest in Oyster Bay on October 18, as part of a busy fall and winter tour around Long Island. The schedule ranges from a Stones tribute to Simon & Garfunkel and Eric Clapton shows, plus a Bethpage Library date, giving local music fans several nearby chances to see him live.
   

• America's Cup documentary hits big screen (liherald.com) — A new documentary about the pioneering all-women America's Cup team heavily features Oyster Bay's Oakcliff Sailing Center, where much of the modern footage was filmed during a 2025 reunion. Oakcliff's director, Dawn Riley, hopes the film inspires locals to train, learn, or support programs that include scholarships and coaching for the Oyster Bay High School sailing team.
