Crime Report: 20 Burglaries in 1 Week

A rash of burglaries struck near Oyster Bay within a matter of days last week.

Nassau County Police reported 20 burglaries in under one week in the Second Precinct. Several incidents took place in nearby Syosset and Plainview, ranging from breakins without loss to stolen electronics, jewelry, and wedding rings.

In addition to the slew of burglaries, the Woodbury Capital One Bank was robbed Tuesday at gunpoint. Two men weilding a semiautomatic handgun entered the bank and took an unknown amount of cash before escaping. Read the full report and descriptions of the subjects at large here.

• Nov. 29: Burglary; Hampshire Drive, Farmingdale; jewelry stolen.
• Nov. 29: Burglary; Roxbury Street, Farmingdale; jewelry, Christmas gifts stolen.
• Nov. 30: Burglary; Jacob Road, Plainview; cash, jewelry stolen.
• Nov. 30: Burglary; Cedar Avenue, Bethpage; TV, laptop, earrings, coin collection stolen.
• Nov. 30: Burglary; Morton Boulevard, Plainview; five watches stolen.
• Nov. 30: Burglary; Rim Lane, Hicksville; cash, XBox 360 stolen.
