Departments Battle Bayville House Fire
Traffic diverted as fire crews extinguish the blaze.
A fire tore through a Bayville home Thursday afternoon.
At 12:45 p.m. Thursday, emergency crews were dispatched to 56 Bayville Avenue in Bayville, according to Bayville Fire Company #1, Inc.'s Facebook page.
Bayville Fire Company was reportedly joined by Glen Cove and Locust Valley crews to battle the two-story fire.

A cause of the fire has not yet been reported.
According to the Revitalize West Shore Road Facebook page, traffic was detoured through the Bayville Park Boulevard neighborhood. Traffic will resume the normal flow once the area is secured.
