Ernie Canadeo Joins Tilles Center's Council of Overseers
CEO and Founder of The EGC Group brings his marketing and philanthropic background to the Tilles Center

Ernie Canadeo, CEO and Founder of The EGC Group, has joined Tilles Center’s Council of Overseers.
Tilles Center’s Council of Overseers is a prestigious group of Long Island business people and philanthropists who contribute to the welfare and development of Tilles Center and Long Island University. This council is an important resource for Tilles Center, as it advises its executive director and management team on key strategic issues. The Council of Overseers also promotes Tilles Center’s mission and goals, particularly in relation to arts education within the underserved communities on Long Island.
Ernie founded The EGC Group – an advertising and digital marketing company, based in Melville, Long Island – in 1985. He had previously worked in various marketing positions at RCA/A&M/Arista Records, and he is excited to bring his extensive marketing and music-related experience to the council.

In addition to his position as CEO of The EGC Group, Long Island’s largest full-service marketing agency, Ernie presently sits on several of the most prominent not-for-profit boards on Long Island. These include: the Long Island Association (LIA), as a member of the executive committee and Co-Chair of the Small and Mid-Sized Business Committee, Chairman of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame, and serves on the Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) board. Ernie previously served on the boards of the United Way of LI, the Thomas Hartman Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, the EAC Network, and the Stony Brook University Alumni Board.
He was inducted into the Direct Marketing Association Hall of Fame, was named the Entrepreneur of the Year by Advancement for Commerce, Industry, and Technology (ACIT), and was honored as the Long Island Man of the Year by the Suffolk Community Council. EGC participates as the only NY-area company in CreatAthon, donating 24 hours of continuous marketing services to not for profit organizations.

Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post is Long Island’s premier concert hall. For 38 years, Tilles Center has held more than 70 performances each season where world-renowned artists in music, theater and dance have graced its stage.
Tilles Center was the first venue to bring the New York Philharmonic to Long Island. Additionally, Diana Ross performed for the Tilles Center 2018 Gala, and Bruce Springsteen’s legendary rendition of “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” was recorded on site.
